The Roanoke Valley Choral Society, established 1974, performs to the pleasure and delight of audiences in Southwest Virginia and beyond. Celebrating our 50th anniversary season is an exciting milestone for past, present and future members alike. Our singers love to make music together, and to share the beauty and joy of singing with others. Whether we are performing great classical choral works, rousing spirituals, or popular tunes of different eras, we aim to make enjoyable choral music accessible to the Roanoke Valley.
One way we accomplish this is by offering free concerts - we accept only at-will donations from attendees. Our mission and our challenge is to provide free admission without compromising quality of performance. As a not-for-profit organization, we rely on funding from generous patron contributions, and advertisements printed in our concert programs. Other than our creative staff, all individuals associated with RVCS are volunteers, donating their time and talents.
Whether you are an individual with a passion for choral music, or your corporation understands the significance of the arts for the well-being of the community, you can make a difference with your financial support. The generous donations of our patrons allow us not only to cover our basic operating expenses, but to partner with professional musicians who make our concerts even more special.
Please consider becoming a patron of the Roanoke Valley Choral Society by making a donation or placing an advertisement for your business in our upcoming concert program.
